Why RMS Drivers Win

Robinson Motor Sports has a history of taking new and experienced drivers and providing the services necessary to make them race winners.

Several customers of RMS have won races after entering the in-house program. The program consist of the RMS techinians doing the prep work on the cars and providing the track side support at the races to keep the cars in top running condition.

We work with the drivers in helping them understand the ability of the car, and then working towards matching their ability to that of the car.

To help them gain as much experience as possible, we have in car video to record their on track sessions. As soon as the session is over, we sit with them in the RMS semi and plug the video into a television. We are then able to immediately critique their driving lines, throttle and brake applications.

After the video session, we then review data that was recorded during the same session. The data allows us to see the throttle application, the amount of braking used and it's proper application and how many G's are used in corners.

We then take their data and over lay it on data that was recorded from one of the RMS drivers, Mark Eaton, Hector De La Torriente or Mick Robinson. Each of these RMS drivers has won many races on each track in the S.E. Division.

The ability to match the customer's data with that of a proven race winner has a dramatic impact on the learning ability of the customer. In 3 race weekends with video and data it is possible to gain a year's worth of seat of the pants driving!

The video and data systems are available for rent on the RMS rental cars and in customer owned cars.

The RMS crew then works with the driver on racing techniques as the customer gains more confidence and speed. Soon, customers are racing at the front group of racers and the next step is their first race win.

These driver aids are an important part of the RMS instruction and helping the customer become confident in their driving ability and gaining speed.
